Hair: Vittoria is very careful with her hair. Her mother instilled a sense of "hair superiority" in her, especially since it is pretty. Vittoria's hair falls in reddish-brown to her shoulderblades, although she rarely wears it down. Usually, she braids it down her back since it gets tangled rather easily. When she goes outside in bright sun, her hair looks more red than brown.
Eyes: Vittoria has very normal eyes. They're blue, with a thing ring of darker blue around the outside. They're not very expressive, and Vittoria has long since learned that her eyes are not remarkable in any way.

Personality: Vittoria is, first and foremost, the rock in the river. She doesn't change without very good reason. She is very steady in stressful situations, but doesn't make decisions quickly or without much thought. She doesn't like being wrong, and generally takes all the steps she can to avoid this. One of these steps, for her, is debating with other people. Vittoria requires imput from other people, but very rarely does she ask them flat out "Should I do this or this." Usually it begins as a friendly conversation, then she manages to steer it into a debate. However, Vittoria hates to actually fight. For her, there is a thin line between 'argument' and 'fight,' and she refuses to cross it willingly.

Vittoria, due to her slow decision-making process, is slightly prone to procrastination. She deals with the most important tasks first, like any normal person, but she draws things out if she doesn't want to do something else. It doesn't make much sense, even to her. She also doesn't particularly like doing more work than necessary. However, if she needs to impress someone, she will do three times as much as she needs too. Vittoria needs approval from others to function, even though she tries to hide it.

Like her even lifestyle, Vittoria has a very stable emotional balance. She doesn't vary much in her moods. Generally, she's a bit happier than neutral, but not by much. She isn't easily moved to pity and generally doesn't get angry at people. However, when she does, she goes into 'YOU MUST DIE' mode. It's not pleasant for anyone around her.

History: Vittoria was born to absolutely fantastic parents. She was loved as much as they could manage, since both Riana and Torrak were farmers and could spare little time from their work. She was brought out to the fields as soon as she could walk, but disliked the work. Riana and Torrak arranged for their little girl to go to a neighbor's house, where a group of children about Vittoria's age already stayed during the day. She almost always played the mediator, even at a young age.

The group of five children became very closely knit, and went everywhere together. Vittoria was the second oldest child in the group, and led most of the 'expeditions' into the fields. Most of the other children were interested in becoming Holders, and Vittoria tried to convince herself of the same thing. It wasn't until she was seven, though that another option revealed itself.

Vittoria knew about the dragons, sure, but she had never been told the workings of a Weyr. Her parents clung to the hope that she would change her mind and folow in their footsteps. They didn't want their only child to leave them and get killed. However, when a pair of dragons came on Search, she was intrigued. One of the riders answered all her questions, even though she was seven and couldn't be Searched. The other wasn't happy with this, but Vittoria didn't care as long as she got her answers. She was swept up in the majestic life of a dragonrider.

Vittoria went home that day and told no one of her life changing experience, not even her group of friends. No one could know, for fear of being restrained. She got as much information as she could, and planned on being Searched at age twelve.

She didn't have any such luck, though, when Riana and Torrak saw that Vittoria was growing up and needed an occupation for the day. They were caring, and didn't want their child getting into trouble. Vittoria was given chores to do every day, and this went on until she was thirteen and Torrak died.

Riana needed all the help she could get. Vittoria needed to prove she was responsible enough to be set free. She began doing her chores willingly and thoroughly. Riana saw this as enthusiasm, and increased her workload until Vittoria was working as hard as she could be expected to. Vittoria slowly came to like the work, and by the time Rialyn was born, she was tending the fields exactly as Riana had taught her.

Time passed very quickly for Vittoria, Riana, Rialyn, and the new man of the family, Jeryn. Before they knew it, Vittoria was seventeen ready to go off and get a husband and a farm. She had almost forgotten about her dream of riding a dragon, until another Search came and she was pushed into line.

Turns out, the rider she asked questions of when she was seven was still on the Search team, although very close to retiring. He didn't remember Vittoria instantly, but after some reminding, it clicked and Vittoria was pulled onto the back of a dragon for the first time.

Vittoria's birthday was just a few sevendays ago, and she is eager to Impress.
